• Roof budget and programme planner (local storage): keeps the roofs and options you have entered so you do not lose them if you refresh or come back later. It holds roof details only, no contact details, and it never leaves your browser unless you choose to carry the summary into the survey form.
• Planner handoff (local storage): a plain-text summary of your planner selections, written only when you click through to the survey form, and cleared once the form is submitted.
• TRS staff sign-in (local storage) and admin layout preference (cookie): set only for TRS administrators who sign in to manage site content. Visitors never receive these.
• Cookie preference (local storage): records whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so you are not asked again. It is kept for six months, then the choice is requested afresh.

With your permission we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, with the measurement ID G-T5CK651RPJ. It is used only to understand how many people visit, which pages they use and how the site performs, so we can improve it.

Analytics is optional. Nothing is loaded and no analytics cookie is set unless you select "Accept analytics" on the cookie banner. Continuing to browse, scrolling or closing the banner is not treated as acceptance. No advertising, remarketing or cross-site personalisation is enabled, and Google's advertising signals are switched off.

If you accept, the following first-party cookies are set by Google Analytics:

• _ga — distinguishes one browser from another, so repeat visits are not counted twice. Typical duration: 2 years.
• _ga_T5CK651RPJ — the container-specific cookie that maintains the visit (session) state for this website. Typical duration: 2 years.

No other analytics storage technology is used: there are no advertising pixels, no heatmap or session-recording tools, no social media trackers and no server-side fingerprinting. We never send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, company names, addresses, uploaded file names, enquiry text, enquiry references or planner figures to Google. Google's own information is available in the Google privacy policy and Google's business privacy information.

When you first visit, a cookie banner offers "Accept analytics" and "Reject analytics" with equal prominence, plus "Manage preferences" for more detail. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.

If you withdraw consent, analytics collection stops immediately, Google Analytics is disabled for the rest of your visit and the _ga cookies are deleted where your browser allows it. Essential storage remains, because the website cannot run without it.

You can clear planner data at any time by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings, or by removing the roofs inside the planner. Clearing site data will also empty any planner work in progress, and your cookie preference, so the banner will appear again.
