Over 9,000 m² of roof refurbishment in Avonmouth, Bristol for GKN Aerospace, a global technology leader in the aerospace industry. Delivered by TRS on programme over 18 weeks in 2024.

Aerospace Bristol, Hangar 16
In summer 2025, TRS was appointed as Main Contractor to refurbish approximately 1,200m² of roof and wall cladding at Hangar 16, Aerospace Bristol Museum in Filton. Delivered over a six-week programme, the £100,000 project involved stripping the aged existing metal sheeting back to the structural framework and installing new olive-green sinusoidal roof and wall cladding.

Dorset Police HQ Roof Overclad – Live Operational Site
TRS carried out a major insulated metal overclad at Dorset Police Headquarters, covering the PSU Hall main roof, curved high-level eaves, lower-level roofs and stores areas, on a fully operational site.

Tuffley Trading Estate Roof Overclad – Gloucester
In 2024 TRS carried out the re-roofing of four adjoining industrial units at Tuffley Trading Estate on Woodrow Way, Quedgeley, Gloucester. The existing asbestos cement roof was reaching the end of its serviceable life. The solution was an insulated metal cladding system installed over the existing covering, together with new gutter linings and replacement rooflights. The works improved thermal performance, increased natural light and left the units secure and weathertight.

Yeo Moor School Flat Roof Refurbishment – Clevedon
TRS carried out a major flat roof refurbishment at Yeo Moor School in Clevedon. The project covered approximately 20 separate roof areas and involved the complete removal of the existing single-ply membrane, the installation of a new insulated cut-to-fall felt system, and the redesign of fascia, window and abutment details. The school remained fully operational throughout, with works carefully phased across term time and the summer break.

Oakington Manor Primary School Roof Replacement – Wembley
TRS carried out major roof replacement works at Oakington Manor Primary School in Wembley. The project addressed both the main apex roofs and adjoining flat roof areas. The existing coverings had failed, with clear evidence of water trapped beneath the single-ply membrane and deteriorating details. The solution combined a full strip-and-replace with a new Garland R-MER CLAD metal system on the apex sections and a high-performance bituminous system on the flat roofs.

St Josephs Primary School Flat Roof Refurbishment – Penarth
TRS carried out a major flat roof refurbishment at St Josephs Primary School on Sully Road, Penarth. The existing waterproofing had reached the end of its serviceable life. The works involved the complete removal of the old covering, the installation of new decking where required, tapered insulation to improve falls and thermal performance, and a new high-performance Garland StressPly Flex Plus bituminous system across approximately 1,200 m² of roof.

City Gates Roof Coating – Swansea
TRS completed a liquid roof coating project at City Gates in the centre of Swansea. The works covered three separate roof areas, each presenting its own set of challenges. The existing coverings had reached the end of their serviceable life and required a durable, seamless solution that could be installed around existing plant and difficult detailing. All works were delivered for Trident Surveyors.

Abergavenny Fire Station Roof Replacement
South Wales Fire & Rescue Service needed a full pitched-roof replacement at Abergavenny Fire Station on Hereford Road. The existing covering had reached the end of its life, yet the station had to stay fully operational at all times so there was no impact on emergency response. TRS delivered a complete replacement using the Garland R-MER TILE ST system in traditional terracotta, upgraded the ceiling-level insulation to current Building Regulations, fitted new black PVC fascias, soffits and rainwater goods, and installed a non-penetrative rail system ready for the solar array.

3,100 m² metal roof coating and industrial gutter replacement at UWE Q Block, a £250,000 refurbishment delivered as Principal Contractor in Summer 2025.

Perdiswell Leisure Centre
In summer 2025, TRS completed a £230,000 refurbishment of approximately 1,400m² of main hall roofing at Perdiswell Leisure Centre in Worcester. Delivered over a 10-week programme, the project upgraded the existing reinforced bituminous membrane roof while the leisure centre remained fully operational.

800 m² metal roof replacement at Windmill Community Centre for Deddington Parish Council, a £110,000 refurbishment delivered as Principal Contractor over an 8-week programme.
